Eldorado Cabin
South Chilcotin Mountains Ski Touring and Accommodation
Winter at Eldorado
A charming cabin built to offer comfort and reprieve for both summer and winter recreationists, Eldorado Cabin rests at 7,000ft and boasts a wood-fired sauna to help relax tired trail muscles. Nestled amongst some of the area’s tallest and most rugged peaks in combination with relatively easy access, Eldorado Cabin is the perfect cabin for your winter ski-touring adventure. The cabin can accommodate up to 8 people at a time with packages priced at full occupancy. This is a flight and accommodation-only booking - while our Summer camps are hosted and catered, Eldorado is self-catered and private to your group.
The snow is the deepest in the Eldorado basin from January – April and bookings fill up quickly. Due to its popularity, return guests receive the first opportunity to book for the upcoming season (it’s THAT good).
High Season: During our ‘high season’ we offer 7-night packages only with heli flights in and out. This accommodates up to 8 people on 2 flights with a weight limit of 1,100 lbs per load. One flight departs from Pemberton Airport, with the second load departing from the Tyax Adventures Ranch on Gun Creek Road.
Low Season: Outside of the high season dates we offer custom packages with flights where available, or ski-in and out options for accommodation only.
To book, please email fun@tyaxadventures.com.

If your group has a helicopter transfer, ensure you have packed accordingly. The maximum weight the helicopter can carry is 1,100 lbs (~4 pax + gear) and will be equipped with a ski basket. Remember everything packed in, must be packed out.
Follow these guidelines to pack for your helicopter transfer:
Weigh each bag/container/box in advance and label article with weight.
This will help your group to know if you are staying within the allowable weight limits. Should you require an additional flight from the Tyax Adventures Ranch to Eldorado, this can be organized in advance. Contact fun@tyaxadventures.com for more information.
Do not pack food or gear in plastic shopping bags
Various size packs, duffel bags and cardboard boxes work better than large coolers or Rubbermaid containers
Do not leave any loose items out - ensure everything is inside your gear containers
Boxes and containers should have their lids taped closed to ensure they do not blow off

Eldorado Cabin is located in the Eldorado Basin.
