Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking

To book a tour/activity, book online or via email (fun@tyaxadventures.com). It is recommended that all guests have a good knowledge of backcountry procedures – including but not limited to: Safety in the backcountry, Wilderness First Aid, Avalanche Safety Knowledge, etc. Prices on the website do not include GST.  

Waivers

Each guest will be required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement before being allowed to secure a booking with us via deposit payment. Please be aware that each guest may be required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement once arriving on site pre-trip. In no event will a guest be permitted to participate in a planned activity/trip without having signed a Waiver. To help with our preparation, we ask that guests sign their Waivers at least 30 days before the planned activity/trip. 

Payments

A 25% deposit is required to secure a reservation, with the balance due 30 days before the activity/tour date. Payments can be made online, or by credit card over the phone. 30 days pre-trip, your full balance will be processed from the card saved on your file. If payment is not processed 30 days before the activity, your trip may be released. 

Please note that when booking online via our booking system, there is a one-time booking fee to cover administrative fees. 

Cancellations

Guest Cancellation 
All tours/flights/reservations cancelled outside of 60 days from the first date of your trip will be refunded, less 3% of the total booking price to cover credit card & administrative fees.  

All tours/flights/reservations cancelled 60-30 days from the first date of your trip will be refunded, less the 25% deposit. 

Payments made for any activity cancelled within 30 days of the activity date are non-refundable.  

Our guest cancellation policy is firm, and we recommend you purchase a trip interruption/cancellation insurance policy to avoid disappointment should you need to cancel your trip at the last minute, as you will not be reimbursed by Tyax Adventures.

Cancellations due to a 3rd Party/Unforeseen Circumstances  

Should your booking need to be cancelled due to extenuating circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to): border closures, government-initiated shutdowns due to a pandemic or wildfire, weather or smoke which is deemed by Tyax Adventures to be a safety issue. Tyax Adventures may offer you a 100% credit to reschedule for another date or give you the option of a full refund minus 3% to cover the cost of credit card and administration fees.  

Tyax Adventures Cancellation  

Tyax Adventures reserves the right to cancel or adjust a reservation at any time due to minimum participation requirements not being met (typically 4 guests), or any other circumstance that arises. Should Tyax Adventures need to cancel or reschedule your reservation we may offer you a 100% credit to reschedule for another date or give the option of a full refund.    

Should any necessary changes affect your pre and/or post-activity travel plans, Tyax Adventures will not be responsible for additional expenses incurred by guests (non-refundable airline tickets, rental cars, hotel reservations, etc.) Again, we recommend you purchase a trip insurance policy.  

Single Supplement

For tours including accommodation, prices are based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available for an additional charge. Single supplement price will be provided on request. Guests travelling alone may request to be paired with another single traveler, if possible.  

*Winter Eldorado: Single supplement is not available for Eldorado guests. 

Itinerary/Flight Changes

Every attempt will be made to adhere to our scheduled itinerary, we do not plan to make changes ahead of time. However, participants acknowledge and willingly accept the possibility of unexpected changes to our route, timings and itinerary. Safety issues, weather and/or any extenuating circumstances beyond our control may contribute to this possibility.  

Should these changes affect your pre and/or post-tour travel plans, Tyax Adventures will not be responsible for additional expenses incurred by guests (non-refundable airline tickets, rental cars, hotel reservations, etc.). Again, we recommend you purchase your own trip insurance policy. 

*Winter Eldorado: Helicopter rates are based on good weather rates and a 1.3 flight time. Should your flights incur additional flight time (due to weather or other circumstances), your group will be charged an additional amount post-trip based on actual flight time (standard B2 hourly rate of $2,895.00 + GST). 

*Winter Eldorado: High Season Package rates are a package price – pending availability, there is the option to add to the helicopter itinerary, but we cannot facilitate a discount for less flight time used by any group. 

Gift Card

Gift cards may be purchased and redeemed online or by contacting our Reservations Team. Gift cards do not expire and are valid on all Tyax Adventures Activities (not valid on alcohol). Gift cards are non-refundable under any circumstances.
