We are an amalgamation of over 55 years of South Chilcotin tour operator experience, during which time we have been exploring, playing, and laying the groundwork to execute and support inspiring backcountry adventures. Let us help you experience the incredible rugged region that is the Chilcotin on foot or by bike, with the added comfort of our hosted and catered historic backcountry camps and cabins.

The South Chilcotin is our home, our passion, and our lifeblood.

CHILCOTIN HOME BASE

We are based out of Tyax Lodge on the shore of Tyaughton Lake. This beautiful wilderness is located approximately 5 hours by car North of Vancouver or 1.5 hours West of Lillooet, in the heart of the South Chilcotin. But if you don’t want to drive, let us pick you up in our De Havilland Beaver floatplane for a 30 minute flight from Whistler, or a 1 hour flight from Vancouver International Airport.

The South Chilcotin Mountains are truly magical and rich with pioneer history, and vast untrammeled wilderness. Located one hundred kilometres north of Whistler, the South Chilcotin mountains are British Columbia’s newest provincial park. The 72,000-hectare park boasts some of the best backcountry hiking and mountain biking in BC. Beautiful wildflower meadows, mountain goats, grizzly bears, big horn sheep, hummingbirds and crystal clear alpine lakes are found throughout the park – all making it a true ecological and recreational wonder.
